If you haven't figured it out already, Huntington offers an amazing wealth of services, activities, and recreation for its residents and visitors. Whether you love the outdoors, excellent cuisine, shopping, rich history, fine art, music, or sports, there's plenty to do without leaving town.
Local Outdoor Activities
We have eight beaches just in the Town of Huntington, with other state beaches just minutes away. And there's an abundance of farmer's markets, local orchards, dozens of local parks, and enough annual festivals and fairs to keep you busy every weekend.
The historic Vanderbilt Museum sports a 24-room Spanish-Moroccan mansion, planetarium, exquisitely kept grounds and eclectic collections from the Vanderbilt family that include a real mummy from ancient times. Cinema Arts Centre is a wonderful place to enjoy an eclectic mix of classic, international, and art films. The Heckscher Museum of Art offers over 2,200 pieces of American and European art (insider tip: Huntington residents enjoy free admission on Wednesday afternoons and Saturdays before 1pm.) Many more local arts can be found via the Huntington Arts Council website.

Your Neighbors at the CCH
And if you happen to be looking for a spiritual family in your new neighborhood, we invite you to come visit us any Sunday morning or contact us with any questions you may have. We've had many new families recently join us: celebrating a wedding or christening, enrolling their young children in day care at Noah's Ark, or teenagers looking to volunteer for local causes. Be part of a church rooted in democracy, and know that all are welcome here. No matter where you are on your spiritual journey, there's a community of genuinely good people here to help and join you on your way.
